Shipping & Refund Policy

1. 2.1All shipping rates are quoted in Jamaican Dollars (JMD) unless otherwise stated. Current rates are available on our website.
2. 2.2USA Air Freight: Personal shipments are charged at JMD $850 for the first pound and JMD $650 for every additional pound at any weight. Billable weight rounds up to the next whole pound. Personal freight formula: JMD $850 + ((billable pounds - 1) x JMD $650). Business shipments use the separate published business tiers. Select Business in the homepage calculator; its tier-transition price cap prevents a heavier shipment from receiving a lower freight estimate.
3. 2.3USA Sea Freight: Charged at US$15 per cubic foot with a minimum billable volume of 3 cubic feet (minimum base freight charge US$45). Volume rounds up to the next whole cubic foot. Sea freight is charged by volume (size), not by weight.
4. 2.4China Air Freight: Quoted on request. Contact Vanguard for a shipment-specific quote before shipping. Pricing, minimums and any included customs or duties will be confirmed in your quote.

6. 2.6USA air freight is billed by actual package weight in pounds, not dimensional weight. USA sea freight is billed by shipment volume in cubic feet, calculated from package dimensions. The billing basis for China shipments is confirmed in the shipment-specific quote.
7. 2.7Shipping rates are subject to change without prior notice. Rate changes do not affect shipments already in transit.
8. 2.8All shipping fees must be paid in full before packages are released to the customer. Vanguard Freight & Logistics does not offer credit or deferred payment.
9. 2.9Payment may be made via cash, bank transfer, or approved mobile payment methods.
10. 2.10USD-to-JMD conversion uses US$1 = JMD $160.

1. 6.1Every USA air and sea package receives free Standard Protection up to US$100 (J$16,000), whatever its declared value. There is no Extra Protection or paid protection add-on.
2. 6.2The declared value must match the supplier invoice or receipt. If a package is under-declared, the payout is limited to the declared value; partial losses are paid in proportion.
3. 6.3Vanguard's care starts when a package physically arrives at the US warehouse. It ends when the customer collects it, Vanguard delivers it in St. James, or it is handed to Knutsford Express.
4. 6.4Vanguard is not responsible for packages on the way to the US warehouse or lost before they arrive. Those are for the seller or carrier to deal with. A carrier's "delivered" status is not proof that Vanguard received the package.
5. 6.5Standard Protection excludes poor seller packaging, prohibited items, cash, jewellery unless approved in writing, Customs seizures, delays and concealed damage reported late.
6. 6.6Email claims to info@vanguardja.com within 48 hours of collection or delivery, with photos and the supplier invoice or receipt. The customer must keep the item and packaging until the claim is settled.
7. 6.7Approved claims are paid in J$ within 14 business days.

Shipping fees are non-refundable once a package has been dispatched from the origin warehouse. No refunds will be issued for abandoned, auctioned, or disposed packages.

1. 7.1Refunds will only be considered where Vanguard Freight & Logistics is directly and solely responsible for a proven loss or error.
2. 7.2All refund requests must be submitted in writing to info@vanguardja.com within 7 calendar days of the incident.
3. 7.3Customs duties, government taxes, storage fees, and warehouse fees are non-refundable under any circumstances.
4. 7.4Approved refunds will be processed within 14 business days via the original payment method.
